Client – the South Australian Department of Transport
Challenge
Clearly and quickly demonstrate current and alternate scenarios for analysis and approval of traffic upgrades.
Our method – utilise our smart traffic system with swept paths, vehicle spacing, smart lights, cornering and road safety auditing features to support the approval and testing of upgrade scenarios to the intersection. Including freight vehicles and lorries and their complex cornering and turning behaviours with lane blocking and the effect on traffic flow. Including a level crossing and its effect on traffic flow. Includes by-car-type acceleration speeds, driver aggression variables, merging and changing lanes, indicators and brake lights realism.
Client outcome – accelerated understanding of multiple upgrade scenarios tested for the intersection. Our visual technology process taking a fraction of the time of traditional analyses and given much greater information across a number of elements.
